About the Artist
My name is Kade Baldwin, I am a 2D Animator and digital artist pursuing a bachelors degree at Savannah College of Art and Design. I was born and raised in Arizona and have been working in both traditional and digital mediums since grade school. My digital work focuses around character design and animation, while my traditional work focuses on realism and conveying messages I find important.
I tend to like to work with bold colours and high contrast pallets with clean line art. I love to sketch on paper and then translate my figures and designs into the digital space, after all, doodles in a notepad often make amazing pieces later on. My style is constantly evolving and improving. I am currently working to improve my skill set in many aspects of the production pipeline notably: backgrounds, perspective, and 2D special effects.
While my university work often has a pre-set goal and theme of its own, my personal work explores themes
I find important or reflected in my life or simply new skills. My main goal is to entertain and I love it when I can make audiences think in ways that they haven't before. I'm looking to expand my skills everyday and create entertainment for many different audiences to enjoy.
